Delete your Communitiii account
Sign in to the account you want to delete, then confirm below. You can also delete your account in the Android app under Settings → Delete Account. Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone.
To protect your account, deletion is only available after you sign in to it.
Sign in to continueBefore you delete
If you created a group that other members still belong to, transfer ownership of that group to another member first. Deletion is blocked until you do, so that other people's communities are not removed with your account. Groups where you are the only active member are deleted with your account.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in identity (email and password, or your Google sign-in link) and all active sessions.
- Your profile, including your name, username, photo, bio, city, locality and location.
- Your interests and your recorded acceptance of our terms and privacy policy.
- Posts, comments and likes you made, and profile likes you gave or received.
- Your group memberships, join requests, group verification applications and answers, and identity verification requests.
- Events you created (with their RSVPs) and your own RSVPs and attendance.
- Chat messages you sent and your read receipts.
- Your connections, follows and blocks — both ones you made and ones made about you.
- Your notifications, reports you submitted, moderation records about your account, and any payment records linked to your account.
- Groups you created where you are the only active member, together with their events, posts and chat.
- Files you uploaded — profile photo, group and event cover images, group media and chat images. Two exceptions are listed below.
We also ask our push-notification provider to delete your push profile.
What is kept or anonymised
- Support tickets and support messages you sent stay with our support team, but are no longer linked to your account.
- Sponsored-content view and click counts are kept as anonymous totals, no longer linked to you.
- Reports other people made about your account, and our administrators' audit log, may keep your account's internal ID (a random identifier), but not your profile.
- Notifications other people already received (for example, that you joined their group) may still show your name in their notification list.
- Cover images you uploaded for a group or event that someone else created may stay with that group or event, depending on whether you still help run it.
- Specific content or files under a legal or safety preservation hold are kept until that hold is released or expires, then removed. Each hold has its own expiry date; there is no fixed period.
- Crash reports the Android app sent to Firebase Crashlytics before you deleted your account are not removed by this process. They are kept under Crashlytics' own retention settings; we do not set a separate period.
- Analytics events are not removed by this process. When you delete from the Android app, we also ask our analytics provider to delete your analytics profile.
- Backups kept by our hosting provider may contain your data until they are replaced in the normal backup cycle; we do not set a separate period.
More detail is in our privacy policy.
